SHIP REGISTRATION UNDER THE FLAG OF PANAMA

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROVISIONAL SHIP REGISTRATION UNDER THE FLAG OF PANAMA

  • Application form for registration
  • A copy of the Bill of Sale or the Builder’s Certificate (if the vessel is new).
  • Copy of Power of Attorney for Local Agent in Panama
  • Copies of Certificates from the previous flag: Registration Certificate, Radio License and Minimum Safe Manning Certificate + CSR and Tonnage Certificate, Document of Compliance of the Managing Company, Ship's Certificate according to ISM, Ship Security Certificate.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMANENT SHIP REGISTRATION UNDER THE FLAG OF PANAMA

  • Power of Attorney for Local Agent in Panama Original, apostilled or certified by the Panamanian Consul.
  • Copy of the Tonnage Certificate issued on behalf of Panama
  • ISM Ship's Certificate issued on behalf of Panama
  • Certificate of Deletion of the vessel from the Register of the Previous Flag Original, apostilled or certified by the Consul of Panama
  • The original document confirming the Ownership: a) for a new ship - the Builder’s Certificate - apostilled or the Consul of Panama must certify the signature and authority of the person in charge on the document; b) Approval of the sale of the vessel - apostilled or the Consul of Panama must certify the signature and authority of the responsible person on the document; c) Bill of Sale – apostilled or the Consul of Panama must certify the signature and authority of the responsible person on the document; d) in the case of a legal transfer of the Ownership (for example, Auction) - the final decision in favor of the New Owner's Company under the Apostille.
  • Application form for Ship Station License
